New Unvented Cylinders
Many modern homes incorporate unvented mains hot water storage cylinders.. This equipment falls outside the legal scope of standard gas, plumbing / DIY qualifications. It is Illegal for anyone to work on these systems without this certification. Gas Taskforce engineers are fully qualified and insured to work on ‘Pressurised Unvented hot water cylinders’.
It is the responsibility of the customer to check if workers they employ hold correct certifications. Any insurance claims whether home or trade is void if workers are found to have worked on this equipment and do not hold these certificates.
